When summer rolls around, most of us like to take advantage of the great weather and blue skies. For some, it means making an annual trek to the beach with their families, others it may mean traveling overseas to a foreign country to take in some culture. For those of us who want a full dose of adrenaline, there are several extreme sports that will fit that bill.

 

Zorbing

Remember when you were a kid and would roll down hills on your side? Zorbing takes this concept to a new level and allows participants to roll down hills inside of a large transparent inflatable ball. While you’re out of control of where you’re headed, the large ball actually absorbs the rocks and sudden bumps along the way.

 

Skydiving

One of the most extreme sports involves you free-falling toward the Earth after being dropped out of a plane and opening the parachute at the last possible moment. If you’re not trained and experienced in this sport, you definitely want to make sure you do a tandem jump with someone who is. Skydiving can be an exhilarating experience if you are gutsy enough to try it this summer.

 

Water Jetpack

Do you love being out in the water and love watersports? Even if you’re not experienced in any kind of water sports, you can definitely take part in the water jetpack sport. The jetpack allows you to fly above the water, reaching up to 10 meters in the air. On a nice summer day, you’ll be able to hover above the ocean water and can even do flips once you get the hang of it!

 

Bungee Jumping

If you want the thrill of jumping from tall heights but don’t want to go skydiving, bungee jumping is a great option but is still not for the faint of heart. This sport allows participants to jump from high heights while your feet are attached by a strong elastic bungee.

 

Indoor Climbing

If the above list is too extreme for you, or you don’t have access to the ones you’re interested in, indoor climbing could be a great option for you. There are many indoor climbing courses that will enable you to build strength in your upper body and get a great workout. Indoor climbing also allows you to be completely safe while engaging in this sport, unlike the riskier extreme sports that carry with them a sense of danger.
